Claire Sutton is a Registered Nurse and Digital Transformation Lead at The National Care Forum - Formally constituted in 2003, and built on more than 10 years experience as the Care Forum, the National Care Forum has been promoting quality care through the not-for-profit care in England sector for 25 years and has become a leading voice in the sector. Her role sees her supporting not-for-profit care providers to use digital solutions to support better practice and provide outstanding care and support for the people who access their services. The National Care Forum are working in collaboration with several other main national organisations representing independent and voluntary adult social care providers in England, and NHS Digital to support the digital journey of social care providers via the support and engagement platform digitalsocialcare.co.uk
As well as being a Registered Nurse Claire is a Member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics – the multi-disciplinary professional body for health and social care qualified individuals working as informaticians across the UK. In addition to this she is working with Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System as one of their ‘Digital Pioneers’ carrying out a project looking at using SNOMED-CT clinical coding in Social Care. She is also an active member of the UK Digital Nurse Network and member of the steering group which launched the HIMSS Nursing and Midwifery Informatics (England) Network in October 2019.
In her spare time she enjoys photography, spending time with her nephew and niece, and is an avid collector of art and books. Claire can often be found tweeting from @clairelsutton
